When she woke up, the house was silent. The sun was setting, filling the room with fiery orange light. She grit her teeth and braced for pain as she attempted to roll over. To her unexpected delight, she felt fine. As she sat up she felt a slight soreness, but not anything she would even call pain. The only thing that hurt was the memory of her boyfriend unapologetically destroying her. After the trauma that had ensued, she almost wanted to weep with joy. She scooted off the bed and found her pants. When she pulled her phone out of her pocket, the blue light was blinking. It was a text from Alyson asking how it had gone.

“Horrible. The sex gorilla ruined my asshole. Tears were shed,” she wrote, followed by a distraught emoticon. She was walking down the hallway when her phone vibrated in her hand.

“OMW,” it read, short for “on my way.” Courtney texted back that she was mostly joking, that her asshole would live to fight another day, but Alyson didn’t reply. She figured Alyson must have thrown her phone in her pocket and immediately hopped in her car. She felt bad for causing alarm, but decided it would be fun to hang out anyway. They could eat ice cream and make fun of the sex gorilla. When Courtney got to the living room she found it empty and a quick peek out of the front window showed her that Brad’s car was gone. She shrugged her shoulders apathetically and sprawled out on the couch, relishing in how un-hurt her anus was. She flipped on the television and promptly fell back asleep as some guy on TV tried to sell her a mop.
